Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

2 Killed In Single-Car Crash On Atlantic City Expressway Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Atlantic City Expressway, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred at 10:26 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, according to New Jersey State Police. Andres Hernandez-Creamadel, 19, was driving east at milepost 23.4 in Hamilton Township when he veered off the road to the right and struck a tree, State Police said. Hernandez-Creamadel, of Atlantic City, and his passenger died of their injuries.  The name of the passenger had not been released pending notification of next of kin. The crash remains under investigation.

Pennsylvania Motorist, 80, Killed After Striking Tree In South Jersey A Pennsylvania man was killed in a single-vehicle crash along Route 55 in Cumberland County, authorities said. William Kane, 80, of Mechanicsville, was driving north near milepost 21.4 in Maurice River Township when his car left the highway near Schooner Landing Road at about 7:40 a.m., according to New Jersey State Police. The car traveled off Route 55 to the right and hit a tree, police said. Kane died of his injuries, they said.  There were no passengers in his car. The crash remains under investigation.
