Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Atlantic City Man, 22, Sentenced In Robbery At Food Market: Prosecutor A 22-year-old man from Atlantic City has been sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison in connection with a robbery at a food market. Rahmir Brown must serve 85% of his sentence before being eligible for parole. The sentence was imposed after Brown pleaded guilty to the crimes in July.  During that guilty plea, Brown admitted to brandishing a handgun and demanding money from a cashier at Joe’s Food Market in Pleasantville on Dec. 4, 2021.

Woman, 25, Shot Dead In Cumberland County: Prosecutor A 25-year-old Vineland woman was shot and killed, authorities said. In the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, Shanelle Stewart of Vineland was found dead inside a vehicle in the 2000 block of Wheaton Avenue, Millville having succumbed to her injuries, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Gilberto Mendez Jr., 42, of Roselle Park, was swimming off Fifth Avenue just after 6 p.m. when he began struggling in rip currents, Belmar Borough police said.
