Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man, Teen Killed After Crash Involving Disabled Vehicle On CT Roadway Two people were killed in a crash after they stepped out of a vehicle on a busy Connecticut roadway. It happened around 11:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 in New London County on I-395 in Montville. A 2002 Lexus ES 300 was disabled in the right shoulder on the northbound side, behind a parked 2008 Buick Enclave CXL, according to Connecticut State Police. ID Released For Teen Shot, Killed In Broad Daylight At Hempstead McDonald's The identity has been released of a teenager who was shot and killed in broad daylight at a Long Island McDonald's. The incident around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 in Hempstead. That's when Hempstead Police Department officers responded to a call for multiple shots fired at the restaurant located at 340 Peninsula Blvd. Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old man, now identified as Hector Manuel Valencia Gomez, of Hempstead, who was the victim of multiple gunshot wounds, Nassau County Police said.
