Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

2 Killed In Separate Crashes In Islip Police are investigating after two people were killed in separate overnight Long Island crashes on Saturday morning. Nov. 12. Just before 1 a.m., state police responded to a crash on the eastbound Southern State Parkway west of exit 42S in the town of Islip. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 Toyota Scion, driven by Gustavo Santos, age 25, of Bay Shore, was traveling eastbound in the right lane when he went off the roadway onto the right shoulder, said police. 38-Year-Old Killed In Head-On Crash On CT Roadway Police are investigating a head-on crash that left a Connecticut man dead. It happened in Hartford County around 6:05 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11 in the town of Burlington. A 2014 Ford Econoline E250 was traveling eastbound on Route 4, about a half-mile east of Route 179, and a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT was traveling westbound on Route 4, Connecticut State Police said. Bay Shore Man Drove While Impaired With 10-Year-Old In Car In Brookhaven, Police Say A local man has been accused of driving while impaired with a child in the car on a busy Long Island roadway. Joseph Acquavita, age 41, of Bay Shore, was operating a 2005 Ford eastbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) in Brookhaven near exit 57, when a motorist called 911 because they thought the driver appeared to be in distress, at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, Suffolk County Police said. Man Seriously Injured In Crash Near Supermarket In Massapequa A man was seriously injured n a two-vehicle crash near a Long Island supermarket. It happened on Friday, Nov. 11 at 9:10 a.m. in Massapequa. A 76-year-old man operating a 2019 Mazda SUV was involved in a collision with a 2022 Ram truck being operated by a 29-year-old man, Nassau County Police said. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Hate Crimes Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the four males who burglarized and made graffiti at a Shirley school in September. New Update: 2 Killed, 5 Others Hospitalized In Head-On Crash On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway This story has been updated. Two people were killed and five others were hospitalized in a head-on crash on a busy Hudson Valley roadway. It happened around 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 in Orange County on Route 32 near Falls Lane in the town of Woodbury and involved a 2014 Freightliner box truck and a 2012 Ford Econoline van, according to state police.
