Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

16-Year-Old Intentionally Strikes 2 Teens With Car On Brentwood Roadway, Police Say A 16-year-old intentionally hit two other teens with a vehicle on a Long Island roadway, according to police. The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 in Brentwood. The boy was driving a Honda Civic on Third Avenue when he observed the two boys he had a prior altercation with in the street, Suffolk County Police said. The boy drove around the block and then came back and intentionally struck the two boys, who are also age 16, said police. Riverhead Man Accused Of Driving Drunk, Crashing With 7-Month-Old In Pickup Truck A local man has been accused of driving drunk with an infant in the vehicle after a crash near a busy Long Island intersection. The crash happened in Riverhead at about 6:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, and involved a black Chevrolet pickup truck and a gray Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Main Road near the intersection of Route 105, Riverhead Police said. Man Charged After Child Brings Guns To CT Elementary School, Police Say A local man has been charged after a student was found with two handguns at a Connecticut elementary school. The incident happened in Hartford County at Carl Allgrove Elementary School in East Granby. Officers responded to the school at around 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9 after school staffers had discovered the weapons in the student’s belongings and immediately secured them, according to Connecticut State Police. Popular Sports Journalist From NY, Age 48, Dies Suddenly While In Press Box Covering World Cup A popular sports journalist died while covering a game at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Grant Wahl, a New York City resident and soccer analyst for CBS Sports, was age 48. According to CBS News, Wahl collapsed while in the press box during the Argentina-Netherlands quarterfinal match early Saturday, Dec. 10.
