Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

New Update: These Areas Expected To See Wintry Mix, Accumulating Snowfall From Complex Storm A complex storm sweeping through the region will bring periods of rain with a wintry mix for inland areas. The storm is expected to move from the south to the north starting late in the afternoon on Sunday, Jan. 22, and continue into the overnight through Monday morning, Jan. 23, according to the National Weather Service. Fugitive Caught: Wanted NY Man Apprehended At Highway Rest Area In CT A man wanted in New York State was apprehended by authorities at a rest area on a Connecticut highway. Just before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, Connecticut State Police troopers in Middlesex County responded to the I-91 northbound rest area in Middletown after receiving information that the subject of an active extraditable arrest warrant in the State of New York may be in the area, in possession of a tan Buick LeSabre displaying a New York registration. Flanders Woman Accused Of Hitting Car With Axe During Dispute A woman is facing multiple charges after police say she hit a car with an axe during a dispute. The incidents happened at around 9:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20 in Flanders. Southampton Town Police officers responded to a dispute on Evergreen Road. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Tiffany Norris, age 39, of Flanders, caused damage to a 2015 Nissan Sentra by striking the vehicle with an axe, police said. Woman Killed After Being Struck By Car While Walking Across West Babylon Roadway A woman was killed after being struck by a car while walking across a Long Island roadway overnight. The incident happened Saturday, Jan. 21 at about 6:30 p.m. in West Babylon. The woman was walking across Great East Neck Road, near Evergreen Street, when she was hit by a northbound 2016 Toyota Corolla, Suffolk County Police said. Woman Struck, Killed By Car Near Farmingdale Intersection A woman was killed after being struck by a car on a Long Island roadway overnight. It happened around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Farmingdale. A 73-year-old woman was walking on Fulton Street from the south to the north side just west of Main Street when she was struck by a Toyota traveling westbound on Fulton Street, Nassau County Police said. Selden Woman Killed After Compact SUV Overturns In Yaphank, Infant Daughter Avoids Injury Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash that left a Long Island woman dead. It happened around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22 in Yaphank.
