Upcoming Lane Closures On I-684 Could Cause Delays In Northern Westchester Motorists are being warned of a series of lane closures that will soon impact traffic on a busy roadway in the region. A series of single- and double-lane closures in Northern Westchester will affect Interstate 684 in both directions in Bedford between Exit 4 (State Route 172) and Exit 9 (Hardscrabble Road) beginning on Monday, June 19, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The closures will occur on weeknights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. until Friday, June 23. The lane closures are to allow for roadway work.

Erratic Driving: 23-Year-Old With Revoked License Nabbed In Yorktown, Police Say A 23-year-old man has landed in hot water after allegedly driving erratically on a main road in Northern Westchester while drunk with a revoked license, police said. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Monday, June 12 just before 5 p.m., when Yorktown Police received a report of an erratic driver on Route 35 who had turned onto Route 202. Dog Bites Child, Leads To Arrest Of Owner In Yorktown: Police A 71-year-old man faces charges after allegedly failing to license his dog that bit a child in Northern Westchester, police said. The arrest stemmed from an incident that happened on Sunday, May 14, when Yorktown Police responded to a report of a dog biting a child within the town. Person Hospitalized After Crash On Route 100 In Katonah A two-car crash on a busy main road in Northern Westchester sent one person to the hospital and caused a small fluid spill. The collision happened on Friday, June 16 around 4 p.m., when first responders were sent to Route 100 in Katonah by the King Kone ice cream shop for a reported crash, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Long Stretch Of Busy State Route To Close In Hudson Valley Commuters are being warned of an upcoming road closure that will impact a long portion of a busy state route in the Hudson Valley. Both directions of State Route 9W in Orangetown between Shadyside Avenue and Hickey Street will close on both Saturday, June 17, and Saturday, June 24, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
