Norwalk-Based Rowers Win Gold, Make College Choices NORWALK, Conn. -- Connecticut Boat Club of Norwalk, the only East Coast team that raced, won a gold at the San Diego Fall Classic Regatta held on Mission Bay in San Diego. This fall head regatta was hosted by the historical San Diego Rowing Club. The following CBC athletes competed in the Girls Junior 1st Varsity 4+ and won first place by 32 seconds: Sophie Perez of Greenwich (coxswain), Julia Cornacchia of Darien, Grace Collins of Ridgefield, Kat Kearn of Greenwich and Lauren Squitieri of Wilton.
