Bridgeport Man Acquitted In Connection With Rape At Sacred Heart BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A jury acquitted a Bridgeport man Wednesday in connection with the rape of a student at Sacred Heart University. Alfonso "Fonzie" Reid, 39, was found not guilty of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint. According to a report on CTPost.com, jurors said they did not believe either side as they deliberated the case. The four-women, two-men jury deliberated three hours before announcing the verdit. Theresa A. Freeman, 65, also faces three years of supervised release after her prison sentence in the decision by U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton.
