Bergen's YWCA To Offer Summer Jobs At Two Open Houses
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The YWCA of Bergen County is holding two open houses for potential employees from 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, and from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6.
Seasonal full-time and part-time positions that will be available are: lifeguards, camp counselors, and camp specialists for the YWCA’s summer program.

Cresskill's Annual Casino Night To Benefit Home School Association
CRESSKILL, N.J. -- The Cresskill Middle/High School Home School Association is seeking donations for its upcoming Casino Night fundraiser in Englewood, organizers say.
The event is set for 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Jan. 29 at SPACE, an entertainment venue located at 491 S. Dean St., Englewood.
Donations can be dropped off at the main office of Cresskill Middle/High School.

Bridgeport Mayor Ganim Ousts Rep. Rosario From Anti-Blight Post
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- State Rep. Chris Rosario, a Bridgeport Democrat and rising star in the Hispanic community, has been booted from his City Hall job, according to a report in the ctpost.
Rosario, 37, had headed the city’s anti-blight office under former Mayor Bill Finch’s administration, the media outlet reported.
Blaming Finch for budget deficits, new Mayor Joe Ganim has promised more layoffs as he reorganizes city government, the report said.
Ganim may have lost some political support, the ctpost reported; at least two City Council members have protested Rosario’s ouster.
