Wilton's New First Selectman Proposes Power Shift WILTON, CONN. -- Wilton’s newly minted First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice is proposing a way to smooth the town’s administrative process, according to a report in the Wilton Bulletin. According to the report, Vanderslice said that the board’s time could be better spent on strategic discussions than toiling over the relatively trivial details of certain grants and contracts. Vanderslice’s proposal would delegate power to the first selectman, making other town executives’ signatures unnecessary in specific, predetermined, cases, the Bulletin reported.
