Barbara A. Piejak, 72, Ridgewood Resident, Longtime Nurse
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Barbara A. Piejak, of Ridgewood, died on Tuesday, Sept. 6. She was 72.
Piejak was a graduate of Rockland School of Nursing, and she worked in the nursing profession until she retired. She was also a longtime volunteer for the American Diabetes Association.
She is survived by her sister Carol and her husband Robert Coughlin, and she was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Victoria Piejak.

Emery 'Bob' Miskuff Jr., 86, Wallington Resident
WALLINGTON, N.J. -- Emery "Bob" Miskuff Jr., of Wallington, died on Sunday, Sept. 18. He was 86.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Miskuff was a construction superintendent for Belle Meade in Roseland. He worked there over 10 years and retired at the age of 60.
He was a lifelong parishioner of Most Holy Name Roman Catholic Church in Garfield. He was a member of Local No. 253. "He enjoyed playing cards with friends every Thursday night, and when he was younger he raced pigeons," information from the funeral home noted.

TEANECK, N.J. -- Antonietta Bruno, of Teaneck, died on Monday, Sept. 19. She was 80.
Bruno was the owner and operator of Antonietta's Beauty Salon in Teaneck for nearly 40 years. She was a member of the Teaneck Women's Club and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Bogota.
She is survived by her husband, Alessandro Bruno; children Anthony Bruno and his wife Donna, Basil Bruno and his wife Linda, and Matilda Bruno; and grandchildren Antonietta, Alessandro, Cassandra, Antonia and Giulia.

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Timothy Ryan, of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, Sept. 14. He was 44.
Born in the Bronx, Ryan attended Yonkers' Gorton High School.

Koulikourdis was born in Athens, Greece.

Charles Fulton 'Tony' Oursler, Jr, 84, of Nyack Resident
NYACK, N.Y. -- Charles Fulton "Tony" Oursler Jr., of Nyack, died on Sept. 18. He was 84.
Oursler was born Massachusetts and graduated from Georgetown University. He joined Reader's Digest in 1956. In 1964, he completed his father's unfinished autobiography, "Behold This Dreamer." When he retired from Reader's Digest in 1986, he was executive editor-in-chief and vice president. In 1992, Oursler joined Guideposts Magazine as editor-in-chief.
