Security Officer Meets Students At Paramus School PARAMUS, N.J. -- Parkway Elementary School has a lot of new faces this year, and first-graders in Jamie Amicucci's class recently had an opportunity to get to know the first face that greets them in the morning, Brian Newman, the school's security officer.  He read the students a book about the role of a police officer in the community. He also shared his experience as a retired officer with the Bergen County Sheriff's Office and his experience as a former K-9 officer. Newman also left students with a parting gift -- a "baseball card" from when he had been a DARE officer.
