Wayne Foodtown Helping Local Animals Find Forever Homes
WAYNE, N.J. -- Jack’s Super Foodtown is hosting a pet adoption event with the North Jersey Humane Society on Sunday, June 26 -- its third such event.
The North Shore Animal League will be assisting with its van, transporting 20 or so animals.
The NJHS is a local volunteer, nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter. In addition to trying to find forever homes for animals, it will collect much-needed donations and monetary funds.

Take A Father's Day Bird Walk At Teaneck Conservancy
TEANECK, N.J. -- The Teaneck Creek Conservancy is hosting a free Father's Day Bird Walk on Sunday, June 19.
"It's a great way to celebrate Father's Day, with a family nature walk and and enjoy the nature of the park," said Don Torino, president of Bergen County Audubon Society.
On these walks, "We're always looking for birds, and we'll be looking for butterflies and at native plants," he said.

Cresskill Seeks $1.51 Million Bond For Road Projects
CRESSKILL, N.J. -- Cresskill is seeking a $1.5 million bond to fund the year's paving program, as well as vehicles for the fire department and public works, the Northern Valley Suburbanite has reported.Of that money, $1.2 million is for paving. Relatedly, the bond would finance an "asphalt hot box," a truck which keeps the material hot and manageable.
