Tenafly's Kaplen JCC Awarded $40,000 Grant TENAFLY, N.J. -- The National Endowment of the Arts has awarded a $40,000 grant to Tenafly's Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, to bolster arts education in the state, the Northern Valley Suburbanite reported. Wayne Foodtown Helping Local Animals Find Forever Homes WAYNE, N.J. -- Jack’s Super Foodtown is hosting a pet adoption event with the North Jersey Humane Society on Sunday, June 26 -- its third such event. The North Shore Animal League will be assisting with its van, transporting 20 or so animals. The NJHS is a local volunteer, nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter. In addition to trying to find forever homes for animals, it will collect much-needed donations and monetary funds.  Donated funds are used for spay/neuter, food and vet bills. Fair Lawn 13U Baseball Team Wins Championship FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- The Fair Lawn Cutters defeated Allendale on Sunday, to win the New Jersey Suburban Baseball League Spring Season National Division Championship. With the 5-1 win, the Fair Lawn 13U travel baseball team finished the season with a 8-1 record. "With guidance from coaches Warren Cohen and Chris Berry and Manager Pete Federico these boys concluded a successful spring season with today's victory," Fair Lawn All-Sports noted in a Monday Facebook post.
