Anthony J. Surace, 88, Longtime Garfield Resident
GARFIELD, N.J. -- Anthony J. Surace, of Garfield, died on Saturday, June 18. He was 88.
Born in Brooklyn, Surace lived there for 40 years before moving to Garfield 48 years ago. He served in the Army for six years during the Korean War. He worked at Nabisco in Fair Lawn for 30 years, and at the age of 72 he began working at Spencer Savings and Loan in Garfield, and worked there for 10 years.
He was a past commander and life member of the Garfield VFW Post 2867, a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Garfield and member of the Holy Name Society.

Antone LaSala, 80, Saddle River Resident
SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- Antone LaSala -- a resident of Saddle River, formerly of Cliffside Park -- died Friday, June 17. He was 80.
LaSala graduated from the Fordham University School of Pharmacy and worked for Rite Aid as a pharmacist and division manager in the tri-state area for 25 years. During his tenure he was appointed to the New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy.
He was a parishioner of St Gabriel's Church, in Saddle River.

Patricia J. Rauch, 85, Bergenfield Resident
BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Patricia J. (McKenna) Rauch -- a Bergenfield resident, formerly of Cliffside Park and Maywood -- died on Saturday, June 18. She was 85.
She is survived by her children, Patti Jeanne and Steve Muller, Bobby Rauch and Brenda Kostoroski, Canice and John Cristofoletti, Marianne and Michael Tracey, Jimmy and Lisa Rauch, Donna and Steve Spinozza, Paul and Debbie Rauch, Alyssa and Carlo Rebosio, and Claire and Gregg Padovano; sister Anne Leach; many nieces and nephews; 28 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Anthony R. Pacheco, 59, Teaneck Resident
TEANECK, N.J. -- Anthony R. Pacheco, of Teaneck, died on Friday, June 17. He was 59.
Pacheco was the vice provost of Global Programs at St. John's University, Queens. "He was an architect by trade, a "builder" in life … with a work ethic matched only by his love for his family," information from the funeral home noted.
He is survived by his wife, Nikki; sons Robert and Richard; siblings Ileana Goldwasser, Ruben Rodriguez and Susan Rodriguez; and mother Sara Rodgriguez.
