The race will take place on Saturday, April 1, on the campus of Fairfield Hills in Newtown beginning at 9 a.m. with staggered fun runs for kids. Monroe PTO Embezzler Gets Probation MONROE, Conn. -- A former PTO treasurer of Stepney School in Monroe received an eight-year suspended sentence with five years' probation, according to a story on CTPost.com.Sarah Chiarelli, 37, was also ordered to serve 200 hours of community service. Chiarelli previously pleaded no contest to first-degree larceny for stealing $45,039 from the PTO. She used the money for a Disney World vacation, groceries, her children's hockey events and other expenses, the story said. She has made full restitution.
