Carnival Begins Thursday To Support The Norwalk High Marching Band NORWALK, Conn. – A carnival to support the Norwalk High School's marching band begins Thursday at Andrews Field in Norwalk. The fundraiser will be held at Andrews Field on Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13, from 6 to 10 p.m. Carnival hours on Saturday are from 3 to 10 p.m. Onsite parking is $5. There will be rides and food. Andrews Field is located on County Street.

Easton Man Wins Ironman World Championship Qualifier In Maryland EASTON, Conn. – Easton’s Chris Thomas finished 13th overall and first among amateurs in the 70.3-mile Eagleman race Sunday in Cambridge, Md. The race, part of the Ironman series, consists of a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run. Thomas finished in 4:05.43. The victory against amateur rivals also earned a berth for Thomas in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii in October. Thomas, 42, is the owner of Personal Training Professionals in Southport. His creation, which will surely come in handy this summer, even won an award in a state competition.
