Sister Rose Marie Franklin, 88, Of Maryknoll In Ossining OSSINING, N.Y. -- Sister Rose Marie Franklin of Maryknoll died on Nov. 23 at Maryknoll Sisters Home Care III in Ossining. She was 88 years old and celebrated 70 years as a Maryknoll Sister in September. She was born on July 1, 1926 in Oak Park, Ill.. to Rose (Mann) Franklin and William B. Franklin, Sister Rose Marie had a twin brother, William B. Franklin, who predeceased her. She attended Trinity High School in River Forest, Ill. Sister Elinor Loretta Doherty, 89, Of Maryknoll OSSINING, N.Y. -- Sister Elinor Loretta Doherty, MM, a missioner for 67 years, who served primarily in Guatemala, died Nov. 24, at Maryknoll Sisters Home Care IV. She was 89 years old. Born on Oct. 12, 1925 in Pontiac, Mich., to Albert and Elinor McGowan Doherty, Sister Elinor entered the Congregation of Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic at Valley Park, Mo., on Oct. 30, 1947, from Our Lady of Refuge Parish, Orchard Lake, Mich. Fun Run In Croton On Thanksgiving Supports American Heart Association CROTON, N.Y. -- Ready to run off those calories? A one-mile fun run will take place at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day in Croton to raise money for the American Heart Association. The run will be held on the track at Spencer Field, behind the Carrie E. Two Wilton Running Club Girls Qualify For Junior Olympic Nationals WILTON, Conn. -- Two Wilton Running Club girls qualified for the U.S. Junior Olympic National Championships at last Saturday’s New England Regional meet in Augusta, Maine. Angela Saidman finished fourth in the 13-14-year-old division and Tess Pisanelli finished 16th in the 11-12 division. Fairfield Giants Pee Wees Fall Short In Regional Playoff FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Giants Pee Wee team saw its season end with a 30-0 loss Saturday to Mount Hope of Providence, R.I., in the New England Pop Warner semifinals.
