She was 89 years old. Born on Oct. 12, 1925 in Pontiac, Mich., to Albert and Elinor McGowan Doherty, Sister Elinor entered the Congregation of Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic at Valley Park, Mo., on Oct. 30, 1947, from Our Lady of Refuge Parish, Orchard Lake, Mich.  At her reception, she was given the Religious name of Sister Rose Andrew. A one-mile fun run will take place at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day in Croton to raise money for the American Heart Association. The run will be held on the track at Spencer Field, behind the Carrie E.
