Historic Irvington Home About To Hit Market For $14.75M, Report Says IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- An Irvington home built on the banks of the Hudson River in 1852 will soon come on the real estate market with an asking price of $14.75 million, according to a story in The New York Times. The home, called Nuits and also known as the Cottenet-Brown House, was once the home of John Jacob Astor III, an American financier and philanthropist. The Italian villa-style house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The home is currently owned by Martin W. Dolan, an investment banker, according to The Times. Report Finds Putnam Children Have Faster Upward Mobility PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Children who grow up in Putnam County stand a better chance of swifter upward mobility than any surrounding counties, according to a story in the New York Times.
