Backyard Sports Cares Plans Annual 3-On-3 Hoops Tournament Fundraiser NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Backyard Sports Cares will host its fourth annual Three-on-Three Basketball Tournament on Saturday, April 16. Basketball players across various skill levels and ranging in age from 15 to 50 and over will participate. Several NBA celebrities will make appearances to sign autographs, pose for photos and maybe shoot some hoops. The Westchester Knicks City Dancers will perform. Scarsdale Library Screens 'Bride And Prejudice' SCARSDALE, N.Y. --The Scarsdale Library will screen "Bride and Prejudice" for its Foreign Film series on Wednesday, March 9 and Friday, March 11. The modern retelling of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" follows a love/hate relationship and the ensuing misunderstandings and musical moments between a small-town beauty and a wealthy American visitor. It's in English and Hindi with English subtitles. The screenings will take place in the Scott Room on March 9 at 6:30 p.m. and March 11 at 1:30 p.m.

Don Bosco Basketball Team Beats Rival In North Non-Public A Semifinals RAMSEY, N.J. -- Don Bosco Preparatory High School defeated their rivals, St. Joseph, in the North Non-Public A boys basketball tournament semifinals Monday, according to The Record. An early three-pointer from Omar Mostafa gave the Don Bosco Ironmen a fast start against the team that beat them in last month's final of the Bergen Jamboree, The Record reported. Trumbull Parents Call For Playground Bond Reinstatement TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Trumbull parents want a playground bond reinstated in the town's capital plan, according to the Connecticut Post. Portions of the Indian Ledge Park playground were deemed hazardous last summer by the Trumbull Department of Parks of Recreation after a routine inspection revealed rotting wood in its understructure, the Connecticut Post reported.
