Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Dump Truck Flips On Garden State Parkway: Njsp A dump truck overturned on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 northbound at Exit 105 in Tinton Falls, according to the New Jersey State Police. Preliminary investigation revealed a Kenworth dump truck, Audi and Chevy pickup were traveling northbound. The Kenworth overturned and collided with the Audi and Chevy.  No serious injuries were reported, State Police said. The crash remains under investigation.
