Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

New Round Of Storms Will Damaging Wind Gusts, Flash Flooding Expected In Area A new round of showers and thunderstorms are expected in the region as a cold front slowly makes its way through the region. The time frame for storms on Thursday, July 1 is in the afternoon and evening. (See the first image above.) Scooter Driver Killed In Crash With Jeep On Long Island Roadway The driver of a scooter was killed after crashing with a Jeep overnight on Long Island. The incident happened at about 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 in Melville. Steven Spector, age 63, of Dix Hills, was driving a 2017 Jeep Compass northbound on Walt Whitman Road, 200 feet south of Express Drive South, and attempted to make a right-hand turn into a driveway when the vehicle was struck by a 2021 Vespa Scooter that was attempting to pass on the right side, Suffolk County Police said. Bicyclist Killed, Motorcyclist Injured in Crash Near Long Island Intersection An investigation is underway after a fatal crash near a Long Island intersection overnight. It happened around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 in Copiague. Steven Kay, age 34, of North Babylon, was riding his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Great Neck Road when it struck Pedro Espinal-Estevez, age 53, of Copiague, who was riding his bicycle westbound crossing Great Neck Road, Suffolk County Police said. Covid-19: Vaccinated Hudson Valley Resident Tests Positive For Delta Variant A vaccinated New York resident has tested positive for the Delta strain of COVID-19. The positive result in the Hudson Valley resident was confirmed Monday, June 28 in Ulster County.
