Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Critically Injured After Being Struck By Mercedes On Long Island Expressway Ramp An investigation is underway after a man was critically injured after being struck by a Mercedes-Benz on a ramp to the Long Island Expressway. The incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 in New Hyde Park. A 26-year-old man was driving the 2017 Mercedes Benz on the ramp to the eastbound expressway in the vicinity of Community Drive and struck the 66-year-old pedestrian, Nassau County Police said.  The man suffered severe head trauma and was transported in a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby local hospital for treatment. Tropical Storm Sunday: Henri Makes Landfall With a sustained wind strength of 60 miles per hour, Tropical Storm Henri made landfall early Sunday afternoon, Aug. 22. Landfall happened at around 12:45 p.m. Sunday in Westerly, Rhode Island, which is located on the southwestern shoreline of Washington County, about 12 miles east of Mystic Seaport, in New London County, Connecticut. ID Released For Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Long Island Crash The identity has been released of the person who was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened around 11:05 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20 in New Hyde Park. A man driving a Yamaha motorcycle was headed southbound on New Hyde Park Road when he collided with a Toyota RAV4, Nassau County Police said.
