Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

7 Charged During Sobriety Checkpoint At Busy Patchogue Intersection Seven people were charged during an overnight sobriety checkpoint overnight at a busy Long Island intersection. It was conducted in Patchogue at Waverly Avenue and North Service Road between 11:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, and 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Police officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s Highway Patrol Bureau conducted the joint operation with New York State troopers. A total of 400 vehicles went through the checkpoint. 19-Year-Old, Girlfriend Both Found Dead Inside NY Home Police are investigating an incident in which a young boyfriend and girlfriend were found dead at their Long Island residence. Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct officers responded to the home in Shirley at 11 Park Circle following a 911 call from the location at around 4:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.
