Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Several Hospitalized After Ambulance, SUV Crash In Bellmore Several people were hospitalized after a crash involving an ambulance and car on Long Island.  It happened around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 25 in Bellmore. A Bellmore-Merrick Fire Department ambulance was traveling northbound on Newbridge Road and was struck by a 2019 Subaru traveling westbound on Camp Avenue, Nassau County Police said. The ambulance was responding to an emergency call and overturned. The Subaru was operated by a 50-year-old woman and contained two 14-year-old female passengers. Man Struck, Killed By Car On Brentwood Roadway Police are investigating after a person was killed after being struck by a car on a Long Island roadway. The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. Saturday, March 20 in Brentwood. A 48-year-old Brentwood man was driving a 2009 Toyota eastbound on Suffolk Avenue when his vehicle struck a man crossing Suffolk Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. 32-Year-Old Admits To Raping Child In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley man is awaiting sentencing after admitting to raping a child. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced that Eric Vazquez, age 32, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court to first-degree rape and first-degree criminal sexual act.  Under the plea agreement announced on the record at the time that Vazquez pleaded guilty, it is anticipated that he will be sentenced to 15 years in state prison and 10 years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced in mid-June. Eye Drops Tainted With Bacteria Linked To Deaths, Infections, CDC Says The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is warning about eye drops tainted with bacteria that are now being linked to three deaths and dozens of infections. In addition, eight people have reported vision loss and there have been four reports of eyes being removed after the drops were used. A total of 68 people in 16 states have been identified as having infections of a rare strain of drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa never before reported in the United States before this outbreak, according to the CDC.
