Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Gold Medal Flour Products Recalled Due To Salmonella Contamination General Mills is recalling Gold Medal flour products after Salmonella has turned up in testing. The company announced on Friday, April 28 a voluntary national recall of 2-, 5- and 10-pound bags of its Gold Medal Unbleached and Bleached All Purpose Flour with a “better if used by” date of March 27, 2024, and March 28, 2024. The recall is being issued for the potential presence of Salmonella Infantis, which was discovered during sampling of the 5-pound bag product, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said. Wet, Windy Mess: Storms Packed With Drenching Rain, Gusty Winds Sweeping Through Region Separate storms accompanied by heavy rain and strong wind gusts will make the final weekend of April a wet mess. According to the National Weather Service, the heaviest rain from the first round of storms should wrap up by around midday Saturday, April 29 after dumping about an inch of precipitation to most of the region. $31M Trip-Fall Fraud Scheme: Attorneys, Doctor Sentenced For Defrauding NY Businesses Sentences have been handed out for two attorneys and a doctor convicted of defrauding New York businesses and their insurance companies of more than $31 million through a massive, three-year trip-and-fall fraud scheme. Tornado: Details Released On Strong Twister With 115 MPH Winds That Hit Region Detailed information has now been released about a tornado that touched down in New York during a round of isolated, severe thunderstorms over the weekend. The twister tore through an area in the Catskills, in northwestern Sullivan County, at around nightfall Saturday. Suspect On Loose After Attempted Robbery At Valley Stream Gas Station Police are searching for a suspect after an overnight attempted armed robbery at a Long Island gas station. It happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, April 23 in Valley Stream.
