Former Police Detective, Air Force Vet From Northern Westchester Dies A Northern Westchester man remembered for his readiness to help others and his service to his community and country has died. Yorktown Heights resident Allen See died on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at the age of 91, according to his obituary. Born in Valhalla in 1931, See served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before later joining the Yorktown Police Department, serving as a detective for 23 years until his retirement in 1981, his obituary said. Bobcat Sighting Reported In Northern Westchester A resident of Northern Westchester received a rare visit from a wild feline. Armonk resident John Dunn sighted a bobcat in his front yard at his home on Byram Brook Place on Sunday, Nov. 27, he said. The sighting is unusual, as bobcats prefer areas without continuous human population centers, according to the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Police Cruiser Hits Woman In Westchester County A police cruiser accidentally hit a woman in Westchester County, police said. Woman Charged With Stabbing Pregnant Woman In Stomach In Westchester County: Police A 19-year-old woman is charged with assaulting a pregnant woman in Westchester County and stabbing her in the abdomen, police said.
