State Of Emergency: Fourth Hudson Valley County Joins Effort To Keep Away Asylum Seekers A fourth Hudson Valley county has executed a State of Emergency in an effort to stop New York City from sending migrants and asylum seekers, in addition to enacting three executive orders. Traffic Alert: Ramp Between Cross County, Bronx River Parkways In Yonkers To Close Traffic between two busy parkways in Westchester will soon be interrupted by an upcoming ramp closure. The ramp between the westbound Cross County Parkway to Exit 6 (Bronx River Parkway northbound) in Yonkers is scheduled to close between Monday, May 22 at 11 p.m. to Tuesday, May 23 at 5 a.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The closure is to allow for maintenance activities. A posted detour will be available for motorists during the closure.

New Principal Named At Kensico School In Valhalla An elementary school in Northern Westchester will soon have a new principal who says he is dedicated to making sure families are involved in their children's education. Rob Schliessman has been named the new principal of the Kensico School located in Valhalla, according to Valhalla Union Free School District officials. Suspect At Large After Shooting At Mount Vernon East Station Authorities are searching for a suspect who shot a man in the parking lot of a train station in Westchester, leaving him hospitalized. Road Rage: Man Points Gun At Victim After Cutting Him Off In New Rochelle, Police Say Authorities were able to successfully track down a man who allegedly pointed a gun at a victim during a road rage incident in Westchester, police said.
