Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

41-Year-Old Killed After Being Struck By Multiple Vehicles In Capital Region A man was killed after being struck by multiple vehicles on a roadway in the region. The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, in Saratoga County on Route 146 near the intersection of Route 9 in Clifton Park.  New York State Police say an investigation determined Christopher E. James Shurman, age 35, was last seen leaving his Centereach home at approximately 4 a.m. on Friday, June 28 in a gray 2015 Chrysler 200 with NY license plate KRP 8819.  Shurman was reported missing by family on Sunday, June 30. ID Released For Elmont 28-Year-Old Killed In 2-Vehicle Garden City Crash The identity has been released of a person killed in a two-vehicle crash on a Long Island roadway. It happened on Saturday, June 29, at 3:50 p.m. in Garden City. A 28-year-old man operating a 2021 Kawasaki motorcycle was involved in a collision with a 2007 Lexus operated by a 66-year-old man on Old Country Road near Prescott Street. Fatal Crash: 51-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After Corvette Slams Into Tree In Deer Park One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a Long Island roadway. It happened around 7:15 a.m. Sunday, June 30, in Deer Park. Suffolk County Police said the victim was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette eastbound on Grand Boulevard when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at the corner of West 11th Street.  Dominick Benedetto, age 51, of Deer Park, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152.
