Swastikas, Antisemitic Graffiti Found At Long Island Beach, Business Police are investigating after swastikas and antisemitic graffiti was found at two locations on Long Island. The graffiti was found painted on bathrooms and two food trailers parked near the Ditch Plains Beach trailhead in Montauk on Monday morning, Oct. 30, according to East Hampton Town Police. Husband, Father From Norwalk Dies In ATV Crash: 'His Life Was Full Of Potential' A Connecticut family is mourning the loss of a beloved husband and expectant father who was killed in an ATV crash. Fairfield County resident Andrii Yavorskyi, age 30, of Norwalk, died in the wreck that happened Friday, Oct. 27, in New York, according to New York State Police. An investigation determined that he was operating a Polaris Sportsman ATV in Boonville in Oneida County when he lost control on a sharp curve. Wrong Driveway Killing: Trial Date Set For NY Homeowner Accused Of Shooting 20-Year-Old A trial date has been set for the man accused of opening fire on a car that mistakenly turned into his driveway in upstate New York, killing a 20-year-old woman. Box Truck Hits, Kills 41-Year-Old Man On Capital Region Roadway A man was struck and killed while walking on a roadway in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, on Route 9 in the town of Halfmoon, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Michael Blackburn, age 41, was walking along Route 9 near Sitterly Road when he was struck by a box car. Drunk 22-Year-Old From Central Islip Hits, Kills Man Walking On Roadway, Police Say A 22-year-old woman is facing vehicular manslaughter charges after allegedly hitting and killing a pedestrian on Long Island while intoxicated. The crash happened at around 3:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, in Lawrence, on Rockaway Turnpike near Nassau Expressway. Alert Issued For Capital Region 15-Year-Old Missing For 2 Days Police are seeking tips in the search for a 15-year-old boy from the region who has been missing for two days. Keagen Hayes was last seen in Johnstown in Fulton County on Saturday, Oct. 28, according to Johnstown Police. Burglar Runs From Cops After Breaking Into Long Island Pharmacy, Police Say An accused burglar is in custody after allegedly breaking into a Long Island pharmacy and then running from police. The incident happened at around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Greenport, at the Colonial Drug Store on Front Street, according to Southold Town Police. Admitted Child Sex Abuser From Capital Region Gets Nearly Decade In Prison A man from the region who confessed to sexually abusing two children will spend nearly a decade behind bars. Rensselaer County resident Johan Felipe Giraldo was sentenced to nine years in prison Thursday, Oct. 26, stemming from an incident involving two children in the Town of Schaghticoke.
