Clifton DWI Stop Uncovers Stolen Gun, Crack, Heroin In BMW, Cops Say
A late-night traffic stop in Clifton uncovered a stolen gun, crack cocaine, heroin, and more, authorities said.
Officer Benjamin Bressel was patrolling near Highland Avenue and Van Winkle Avenue when he spotted a 2016 two-door BMW committing several traffic violations around 3:09 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, according to Clifton Police Lt. Robert Anderson.
Officer Bressel pulled the vehicle over. Officers Fabricio Martinez, Eddie Maldonado, and Stephen Aggi arrived to assist.

Ramsey HS Grad Youssef Nissan Dies, 25
Youssef “Joseph” Nissan of Ramsey died Saturday, June 21, at age 25, according to his obituary with CC Van Emburgh Funeral Home.
Born in Ridgewood, Youssef graduated from Ramsey High School in 2018 and earned his psychology degree from Rowan University in 2023, his obituary reads.
"Youssef brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone who knew him," the obituary continues. "From an early age, he was known for his adventurous spirit, his kind and compassionate heart, and his remarkable ability to make others feel truly seen, heard, and loved."

More Than 10K Lose Power As NJ Swelters In 106° Heat
New Jersey is sweltering under dangerously high heat and humidity, with feels-like temperatures hitting 106° in multiple cities on Wednesday, June 25, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.
Trenton, Vineland, Allentown, Philadelphia, and Wilmington all reached peak heat indices of 106°, while Easton, PA, topped out at 107°, weather officials said. Long Branch and Sussex hit 100°, and Toms River wasn’t far behind at 103°.
