Wappingers Theater Group To Open 59th Season
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – A Wappingers Falls theater group is opening its 59th season with a brand-new website and a long list of plays to be performed.
Among The County Players’ offerings are: "Memphis, the musical," Neil Simon’s “Laughter on the 23rd Floor,” “August: Osage County,” “Amadeus,” by Peter Schaffer, and “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” by Jeffrey Lane and David Yazbek.”

Joel Barlow High Students Enter Poetry Out Loud Contest
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Ten high schools from around Fairfield County have registered to participate in Poetry Out Loud, an annual national recitation contest, according to the Connecticut Office of the Arts.
Participating schools are: Bethel High School, Darien High School, Greens Farms Academy in Westport, Greenwich High School, Joel Barlow High School in Redding, Newtown High School, Ridgefield High School, Staples High School in Westport, Westhill High School in Stamford, and Wilton High School.

Norwalk Program Offers Tips On Keeping New Year's Resolutions
NORWALK, CONN. – It’s just a few days into 2016, but the odds are that at least some of you have already broken your New Year’s resolutions, says the Norwalk Health Department.
The department, and the Norwalk Public Library, are co-hosting a five-week “Healthy Resolutions” program that will help you stick to that diet, eat better, and exercise more, among other things.
It will be held on Wednesdays, from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. starting Jan. 6, in the library’s main auditorium.
