Orazio Vitulano, 85, Wyckoff Resident
WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Orazio Vitulano, of Wyckoff, died on Sunday, Jan. 22. He was 85.
Born in Molfetta, Italy, Vitulano lived in Hoboken before he moved to Weehawken, where he was a longtime resident, and where he and his wife raised their six children. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of the ILGWU Local No. 10 in New York City, before he retired in 1998.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Catherine Marturnano, of Elmwood Park, died on Tuesday, Feb. 7. She was 99.
Born in Passaic, Marturnano had been a lifelong resident of the borough. She worked for ADP in Clifton for 12 years, before she retired.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Cooney and Theresa Rullo; grandchildren Shannon and Alycia; and sister Hermina Mankiewicz. She was preceded by her husband, Thomas.

OAKLAND, N.J. -- Neil R. Young, of Oakland, died on Monday, Feb. 6. He was 63.
Born in North Bergen, Young spent his career as a research chemist, beginning with Degen Oil in Jersey City, then Sun Chemical in Carlstadt and finally ending his career at SIKA in Lyndhurst. His work produced several patents.
He enjoyed collecting art and going to fairs, galleries and art shows.

WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. -- Agnes McAvoy -- a Wood-Ridge resident, formerly of Manchester and Hasbrouck Heights -- died on Tuesday, Feb. 7. She was 76.
Born in Hoboken, McAvoy was a waitress at Inger's Restaurant in Hasbrouck Heights, before she retired. Previously, she had worked at ShopRite in Hasbrouck Heights.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth McAvoy; children Kenneth McAvoy and his wife Dona, and Kim Samarelli and her husband Cosimo; and six grandchildren.

NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Thomas C. Decker, of New Milford, died on Wednesday, Feb. 8. He was 83.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Decker was a retired carpenter of Columbia Roofing, in Bergenfield. He was an avid motorcyclist who loved riding trips to Bear Mountain and the Jersey shore.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Decker; children Pam McClure and her husband Bob, Julie Smerdon and her husband Rob, Susan Roberts, and Richard Roberts; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
