Stamford Teams Capture Synchronized Skating Medals STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Southern CT Synchronized Skating team hosted a record number of 76 teams for the 17th Annual Terry Conners Open. Skaters, coaches, officials, and parents traveled from Virginia, Maine and throughout the Northeast to attend the competition. The local team showcased three lines, Sprites, Shimmers and Shadows. Sprites, a Synchro Skills Level 2 line, won gold. Shimmers, a Pre-Juvenile line, won silver and the Shadows finished fifth. Norwalk Navy Veteran Remembers Influence Of Pearl Harbor, WWII Soldiers NORWALK, Conn. -- Don Burrows of Norwalk remembers the soldiers who fought for the United States during World War II. In large part, they provided the impetus for the Navy veteran to serve in the military for more than four decades. “They were an inspiration for me,’’ Burrows said, remembering in particular the soldiers from Pearl Harbor. Giants Heartfelt Video Reaches Longtime Stamford Fan A Few Days Too Late STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford’s Larry Miller supported the New York Giants football team his entire life, including more than five decades as a season-ticket holder. Redding Skater Skates Off With Silver Medal At Australia's Championships REDDING, Conn. -- Brooklee Han moved from Redding to Texas in September to push forward in her figure skating career. Countdown Begins: Radicchio Reopens In Ridgewood RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Radicchio Pasta and Risotto Co. plans to open soon in its move back to Ridgewood.
