Weston Memorial Day Weekend Race Planned For May 24 WESTON, Conn. -- The 21st Annual Weston Memorial Day Weekend 5K Race is scheduled this year for Saturday, May 24, at 8:30 a.m. The race, which is the Weston High School PTO’s largest fund-raiser, is open to walkers and runners of all ages and all levels.  Advance registration, which closes on Friday, May 23, is $25. The PTO also sponsors a Kids Fun Run, starting at 8 a.m. on the day of the race at the high school's varsity track. Norwalk's Cundari Named Northeast-10 Pitcher Of The Year NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s Rocco Cundari, a senior from Southern Connecticut State University, was named the Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Year by the league’s head coaches. Cundari went 5-2 with a 0.85 ERA during the regular season for Southern Connecticut, which won the Southwest Division title. He struck out 63 batters and walked 15 in 11 games, including nine starts. He did not allow more than two earned runs in any of his nine starts, and picked up two saves in two relief appearances. The Owls finished the season with a 24-15-1 record.
