Robbers On The Run After Heist At Pelham Manor Store PELHAM, N.Y. -- Two armed robbers remained on the loose Friday after a heist Thursday at a Pelham Manor gift store, News 12 Westchester reports. Owners at Danny's Cards and Gifts said two men walked into the store wielding a knife and demanding cash while another man waited outside, according to the News 12 report. Another man waited outside. Mount Vernon Police Slow To Update Sex Offender Info, Audit Finds MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- The Mount Vernon Police Department was one of several around the state that failed to take swift action to update information and photographs for sex offenders, according to LoHud.com. An audit conducted by the office of Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli reported Mount Vernon and other police departments failed to verify addresses and update pictures for sex offenders, according to the story. Ossining Man Indicted On Drug Trafficking Charges OSSINING, N.Y. -- An Ossining man was indicted after an investigation of drug trafficking linking Puerto Rico to several cities in the Northeast, according to an announcement by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.  Vincente Alvarez-Medina, 25, was among 41 people indicted. Rodney Headley, 29, resigned at the end of the school year after a 17-year-old student alleged they engaged in a sex act. Headley led Peekskill to the New York state title in 2011.
