Stamford Students Named To Champlain College Dean's List For Fall Semester STAMFORD, Conn. -- Two Stamford residents were named to the Dean's List for the fall semester at Champlain College in Burlington, Vt. Samantha Lyons, an early childhood/elementary education major, and Charles Carucci, a game exploration/game design major, were both named to the Dean's List. 3 Greenwich High Football Assistants Quit After Head Coach Exits GREENWICH, Conn. -- Three assistant football coaches at Greenwich High School resigned Friday, less than 24 hours after longtime head coach Rich Albonizio said he was stepping down from his position, according to a report on GreenwichTime.com. Albonizio, 64, resigned Thursday from Greenwich High after 18 seasons as the team's head coach. He won 178 games and three state championships during his tenure. Elected Officials Express Concern Over Silver Allegations PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York Democrats expressed concern over corruption allegations of State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, NYStateOfPolitics.com reported. Monitor Rejects Harrison's Affordable Housing Defense HARRISON, N.Y. -- Zoning in Harrison restricts minorities a federal housing monitor wrote to town officials in a letter earlier this month, according to LoHud.com. Attorney James E. Johnson said in a letter dated Jan. 7 that " less affluent residents and racial and ethnic minorities live in geographically separate enclaves,'' according to the story.
