Norwalk High School Band Reschedules 'Fun Night Out' Fundraiser NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk High School's Marching Band has rescheduled its "Fun Night Out" fundraiser that had been planned for Friday, Jan. 30. The new date is Friday, Feb. 6, at the American Legion Hall. The band rescheduled after the learning of a forecast for more snow on Friday. The event includes dinner, karaoke, silent auction, dancing and a dessert contest. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event concludes at 10:30 p.m. The band's jazz musicians will provide live music. Police Continue Probe Into Suicide At Danbury Mall DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury police continue to investigate the suicide of a 50-year-old man Saturday at the Danbury Fair Mall, according to a report on blog.ctnews.com. The man, who has not been identified, stabbed himself inside a bathroom at Sears. While the storm sideswiped Westchester County, there was still enough snow to close schools and create traffic headaches on Tuesday. Bedford and the rest of the region returned to normalcy on Wednesday, but more snow is predicted to arrive over the next few days.

McElroy was born in Ossining on Nov. 16, 1928, to John J. McElroy, Sr. and Julia (Tobin) McElroy. He attended St. Theresa's School in Sleepy Hollow (then called North Tarrytown) and Washington Irving High School. While at WIHS, he played on the undefeated, untied football team in the 1944 regular season.
