South Salem Church Hosts Wine Tasting Saturday SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Saint John's Church in South Salem will host "Taste of the Vine,'' a wine tasting event, on Saturday, June 6. The event begins at 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit Saint John's Parish and My Sisters' Place. The church is at 82 Spring St. in South Salem. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Norwalk's Logan, Wilton's Fields Win Ridgefield Triathlon RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Nick Logan held off Cliff Scherb in a battle of two Norwalk athletes Sunday to win the Ridgefield Triathlon. Rocio Fields of Wilton won the women's race, followed by Ridgefield teenager Kasey McGerald and Thea Bloomfield of Norwalk. Logan won the sprint distance race in 1:03:34 with Scherb finishing in 1:03:56. Logan ran 18:07 for the closing 5k to overtake Scherb, who led by 52 seconds entering the final leg of the race.
