Masked Robber Hits Longmeadow Bank: Report There was a large police presence outside of Berkshire Bank in Longmeadow Monday afternoon as police investigate a robbery that happened around 11 a.m., police said.  Police said a man walked into the Longmeadow Street bank and handed the teller a note that demanded cash. No one was hurt, Longmeadow police said.  Police described the man as between 5-feet-5-inches tall and 5 feet 6 and weighing about 250 pounds. Woman Stabbed To Death In Springfield Parking Lot: Police Springfield police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman over the weekend.  Police were called to Chestnut Street just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, to a report a woman had been stabbed in a parking lot on Liberty Street, Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh tweeted.  Officers provided first aid until paramedics could rush her to Baystate Medical Center, but doctors were not able to save her life, Walsh wrote.
