Masked Robber Hits Longmeadow Bank: Report There was a large police presence outside of Berkshire Bank in Longmeadow Monday afternoon as police investigate a robbery that happened around 11 a.m., police said. Police said a man walked into the Longmeadow Street bank and handed the teller a note that demanded cash. No one was hurt, Longmeadow police said. Police described the man as between 5-feet-5-inches tall and 5 feet 6 and weighing about 250 pounds. He wore a black mask and clothing and sped away in a light-colored Honda CRV after the robbery. Drunk Driver With Child In Car Crashes Into Dudley Home: Police A 35-year-old Charlton man had a child in his car when he crashed into a Dudley home last week while drunk, authorities said. Eric Daniels faces several charges stemming from the weekend crash at 115 Pierpoint Road, Dudley police said. Officers said Daniels crossed the center line of the road before crashing into a utility police guide wire, a fence, and then the house just before 6 p.m. Police did not release any information on the child but said they contacted the Department of Children and Families following the crash to investigate the incident. Woman Stabbed To Death In Springfield Parking Lot: Police Springfield police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman over the weekend. Police were called to Chestnut Street just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, to a report a woman had been stabbed in a parking lot on Liberty Street, Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh tweeted. Officers provided first aid until paramedics could rush her to Baystate Medical Center, but doctors were not able to save her life, Walsh wrote. He did not release the woman's name. 60-Year-Old Man Accused Of Crashing Into, Killing Acton Doctor: DA Police are investigating the death of a 66-year-old Acton doctor who was run over and killed as she walked off of her driveway earlier this week, authorities said. Irene Durand-Bryan was a licensed psychologist with offices in Concord and Lowell, according to her obituary. Police said a Ford van struck her around 11:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, at her Concord Road home near Alcott Street. Killing At Braintree Hotel: Two Mississippi Men Admit To 2017 Slaying, DA says Two Mississippi men admitted this week to killing a 27-year-old woman during a robbery at a Braintree hotel in 2017, the Norfolk County District Attorney said. Kenyonte Galmore, 27, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received an 18 to 20-year-prison sentence on Friday, Jan. 27. Kentavious Coleman, 25, also pleaded to manslaughter charges, and a judge sentenced him to seven years in prison, the prosecutor said. Bail Revoked For Boston Man Accused Of String Of Violent Crimes: DA A 33-year-old Boston accused of five violent crimes over 18 months had his bail revoked on Friday, Jan. 27, and will be held for 60 days, authorities said. 'Serial Boston Bank Robber' Charged With Another Heist: Feds A 47-year-old Boston man who was convicted of bank robberies in 1993, 2002, and 2017 is now accused of robbing a Brookline bank last year, federal authorities said. Jerome Lamont Turner is charged with one count of bank robbery and is due in court next week, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.
