Student Stabbed At Brockton Special Needs School, Teen Arrested: Police A student at Brockton Therapeutic Day School at Huntington was stabbed Thursday morning, March 16, authorities said.  Police were called to the 1121 Warren Ave. school just after 9:30 a.m. to reports of an assault and battery with a knife, officials said. Police described his injuries as not life-threatening, and he is being treated at a nearby hospital with school administrators by his side. Springfield Slaying: Victim ID'd As West Springfield Man Officials in Hampden County have released the identity of a 25-year-old killed in a Friday, March 10, shooting in Springfield.  Jahvante Perez, of West Springfield, was found shot just after 7 p.m. on Cadwell Drive in Springfield, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday. He died of his wounds at Baystate Medical Center later that night.  Police charged Jordan Cabrera on Monday with the slaying, the prosecutor said. He is being held without bail. House Fire: Minor Injuries In Early Morning Holyoke Blaze Firefighters in Hamden County were quick to the scene of an early morning house fire after a 911.  Holyoke firefighters arrived at the 160 Pine Street home just before 5 a.m. in the driving snow when a neighbor noticed the house next door was on fire, authorities said. Despite crews best efforts the high winds pushed the flames onto a nearby home.  Crews were able to get the blaze under control after a short period and rescued a resident of the first home who had minor smoke inhalation injuries, authorities said. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
