Haverhill Man Charged With Slaying In Lawrence Agrees To No Bail: DA A 36-year-old Essex man is accused of killing a man and leaving him on a Lawrence sidewalk with a fatal head wound, authorities said. SUV Crashes Into, Kills Woman Walking In Malden: DA A pedestrian was killed Thursday, Oct. 19, after a BMW SUV crashed into another vehicle before hitting the woman as she stood on the sidewalk, Middlesex County, authorities said. 2 Children Poured Acid On Slides, Injured 4 Other Kids At Western Mass Park: DA Two minors have been charged with pouring muriatic acid on slides in Hampden County and injuring multiple children, authorities said. Police said the juveniles poured the toxic material on the slides at Bliss Park in Longmeadow on June 11. Four children who played on them later were burned by the caustic substance.
